Summer is not only a time for nice weather and relaxation, it's also when we get to see some of the most exciting coffees. This coffee is from the Kabare Cooperative in Kenya, which operates 11 different washing stations in the Kirinyaga District around Mount Kenya. This particular coffee was processed at the Karani Washing Station which supports about 600 small farmers around the area.
Kenyan coffees are known for their brightness which is attributed by their concentrated levels of citric acid. We find this coffee to be incredibly citrusy with notes of orange zest, grapefruit and lemonade, balanced with a nice body and hint of cherry.
