Loving Dave’s Coffee in SC

We tried Dave’s Coffee at a cafe in CT while visiting our daughter. We loved the deep chocolaty notes without any bitterness. We are now on our second 5 lb bag, this time the low acid coffee, as we live on our sailboat and sometimes get seasick when drinking high acid coffee. The decaf is the best decaf we’ve had and love the decaffeination process. Thank you for the great product and excellent service.

I don't normally drink decaf, but while being pregnant I have had to cut out caffeine, and Dave's Coffee made the transition much easier! It tastes great and I love starting my morning off with Dave's Decaf!

Everyone is working from home these days until the world get back to business as usual. Our kitchen is now the break room. The second, decaf pot of coffee goes quickly in our house. I’m always a bit sad when only a few delicious sips are left.

My son has declared Dave's decaf coffee to be the best he's ever had! The only reason there's any left is because I got him his own bag of Dave's decaf as a gift for the holidays and I kept this one at home for when he visits!

Delicious, not too dark roast

Darker decaf with great flavors. We tried it, and added it to our home rotation for drip coffee. Use for espresso in occasion too.

Delicious

Ground for French Press, I rely on this decaf. I rarely drink “coffee” anymore. I also do not use cream/splenda anymore. I use Oat creamer. It’s my new version of enjoying a hot drink.

Coffee syrup is delicious

I purchased the coffee syrup after seeing a video online. I am not disappointed! It’s delicious. I have found myself using it most of the time with my protein shakes in the morning. It adds just the right amount of extra flavor. I also purchased two whole bean coffee packages. One decaf Sumatra, which my husband is enjoying a great deal and one Power Wagon, which I haven’t tried yet I recommend to anyone Dave’s Coffee. The transaction went without a hitch!

Description

We are thrilled to bring you this amazingly delicious, full bodied, flavorful decaffeinated coffee from Colombia.

The sugar process is a natural process that not only maintains the astonishing integrity of the coffees flavor, but also allows us to offer decaffeinated coffee that follows an integrated vertical supply chain, as the growing, processing, and even the full decaffeination process all happens at the source in Colombia. Sugar cane, which is fermented in water to decaffeinate our coffee, also grows abundantly in Colombia. So, it makes good sense all around for the environment and produces the best tasting decaf you've ever had!

Here's a quick overview of how the coffee gets decaffeinated before it arrives to us for roasting:

Unroasted coffee is gently steamed for thirty minutes to open the pores of the coffee to allow the caffeine to be extracted.
The beans are then placed in a solution made from water and fermented sugar cane.
The solution bonds to the salts of chlorogenic acids within the coffee, allowing for the extraction of caffeine.
The solution is then drained (taking with it the caffeine) and refilled with fresh solution. This continues for eight hours.
After the last of the caffeine has been removed, the beans are gently steamed again to remove any residue of the solution, and then dried.
