Dave's Original Rhode Island Coffee Syrup (16oz)
We first tasted Dave’s offer Syrup when our youngest was a college student in Providence. Now we have it delivered every month because it is so delicious and versatile! Our favorite is coffee syrup on moose tracks or coffee ice cream. In truth, we always run out before the end of the month and then wait impatiently for our next delivery.
Customers said this coffee syrup is "delicious" and "versatile," perfect for coffee milk, ice cream, yogurt, and cocktails. Made with natural ingredients including cane sugar and cold brew coffee, shoppers praised its rich flavor without bitterness. Some noted it's sweet, with one requesting a decaf version. Great for lattes and milkshakes.

While not from Rhode Island, I had the opportunity to try coffee milk, and absolutely loved it! I like the fact that Dave’s has minimum of ingredients. The flavor is wonderful.
Hi Diane! So glad you got to try coffee milk - and over ice cream is a top-tier move. Love that you’re enjoying the simplicity and flavor. - The Dave’s Coffee Team
a friend from colorado visited and I took him to rhode island, introduced him to the wonders of rhode island cuisine and shamelessly turned him into a coffee milk addict. Now he'll probably never be properly decaffeinated but at least he can enjoy quality coffee milk off in the wilds of colorado, thanks to your special online ordering feature. Happy Holiday's to the coffee elves at Dave's !
Hi Calvin –
This absolutely made our day. Turning a Colorado friend into a full-blown coffee milk convert is heroic work, and we’re honored to be part of the mission. Glad our online shop can keep the cravings satisfied out west! Wishing you and your fellow coffee milk fiend a very happy holiday season.

Hi Matthew, thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We're so glad to hear that you are loving our Dave's Original Rhode Island Coffee Milk Syrup. It's definitely a tasty treat with both cold and warm milk. Thanks for giving it a try and for your support! Cheers!!
So, my mom is from RI but we never lived there but we visited every year my whole life until I moved far out west. I only recently discovered Dave’s coffee syrup last year after only having the others.
The coffee flavor is better and feels less sugary sweet.
Besides the usual coffee milk or in a cabinet I’ve been adding it to my over night oats with chocolate and banana to have the perfect combo over night oats.
Hi Dorothy! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We're thrilled to hear that you love our Dave's Original Rhode Island Coffee Milk Syrup and that it brings back fond memories of your visits to RI. We agree, our syrup has a delicious coffee flavor without being too sugary sweet. We love the idea of adding it to overnight oats with chocolate and banana - what a perfect combination! Thanks again for your support and enjoy your coffee milk syrup!
The 16 Oz is the way to go. I recently introduced my ME GF to RI Coffeemilk, match made in heaven. Given the rate of consumption, I may need to order it in a tanker trunk.
I like my Daves Coffee Syrup with Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum and a splash of Almond milk well there was that one weekend I had Pilar Rum
I’m a mid 50s central MA guy who grew up on coffee milk. My mom was born in Newport and raised in Warwick, so naturally we had Eclipse in our fridge. I’ve had Autocrat countless times as well.
Let me tell you, you haven’t had coffee milk if you haven’t had Dave’s! This is the real deal with real ingredients. Look at a bottle of Eclipse(d) or Autocrap. Enough said.
When I received my first order of Original Coffee Syrup recently, I was curious as to whether it would meet my foodie expectations or live up to the praise from other reviewers. Wow! What a revelation it was when I began to use it in my coffee in place of other sweeteners. And my brother began finding different ways to use it outside of just putting it into his coffee. That makes two in our household who are now believers in Original Coffee Syrup!
Very fast shipping & arrived in great shape as whell
Taste great ccmpared to old silmo person & very fast shipping an responce to order
I love Dave's Coffee Syrup! Visited Providence recently and fell in love with Coffee Milk. Would highly recommend getting a bottle or two!
Enjoy your syrup with carrots and while making my cold brews for humid summer mornings ... am looking for something hot to do for the winter!!
Discovered Dave’s on a trip back to RI (I’ve been in Arizona now for 36 years). I used to drink the other brand but when I saw and tasted the ingredients Dave used I officially made the switch. In fact I have introduced several non RI folks to the regular syrup and have hopefully made them permanent customers. Thankfully we can order online. Love this cawfee syrup!!
Rhode Island's official state drink begins here!
Coffee milk is a popular beverage in Rhode Island, made by mixing coffee syrup with milk. It's a sweet, creamy drink with a distinct coffee flavor that's perfect for breakfast or as an afternoon pick-me-up. Whether you prefer it hot or cold, coffee milk is a delicious way to enjoy the taste of coffee in a new and refreshing way.
It all starts with our fresh roasted coffee. We've selected a superb Brazilian bean and roasted it specifically to be used in our coffee syrup. It's nutty, sweet, smooth and roasted with it's natural smoky goodness. The finished roast then rests for two days.
After resting the coffee is ground and cold brewed for 18 hours in our modified stainless steel kettle.
Finally, the cold brewed coffee is drained and combined with pure cane sugar. The mixture of coffee and sugar is brought to a boil and simmers for about 45 minutes. During this time the syrup reduces and the sugar begins to caramelize. When the syrup reaches the perfect consistency, it is hot bottled into our signature amber glass bottles. The amber glass protects the sweet flavor of our coffee syrup from the environment.
There's a whole lot of love that goes into each bottle of Dave's Coffee Syrup. For a classic coffee milk, mix two generous tablespoons of Dave's Coffee Syrup into a glass of cold milk and enjoy. There is approximately 20 mg of caffeine per tablespoon of syrup.
Other great uses include:
- Caramelized carrots, yams, or any root veggie
- Drizzle over ribs before BBQ
- Tiramisu
- Espresso martinis
Ingredients: Cane Sugar, Dave's Cold Brewed Coffee (Water & Fresh Roasted Coffee)
Cane sugar and cold-brewed coffee. That's it — no high-fructose corn syrup, no corn syrup, no caramel color. Not something every coffee syrup on the shelf can say.

Baked Apples with Coffee Milk Syrup & Crème Fraîche

Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
-
4 firm baking apples (Honeycrisp, Braeburn, or Jonagold)
-
1/3 cup Dave’s Coffee Milk Syrup, plus more for drizzling
-
3 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened (or coconut oil)
-
1/3 cup old-fashioned oats (use GF oats if needed)
-
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional but great)
-
2 Tbsp brown sugar or maple sugar
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
1/4 tsp ground ginger (or pumpkin pie spice)
-
Pinch of salt
-
2 Tbsp raisins or chopped dates (optional)
-
1/2 cup apple cider or water
-
1/2 cup crème fraîche (aka “crème fresh”), for topping
Equipment
Small mixing bowl • Apple corer or paring knife • 8–9" baking dish • Foil
Instructions
-
Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the cider (or water) into a small baking dish and stir in 1 Tbsp of Dave’s Coffee Milk Syrup.
-
Prep the apples. Core each apple, leaving a 1/2" base so the filling doesn’t fall through. Lightly score a shallow ring around the middle of each apple (helps prevent splitting).
-
Make the filling. In a bowl, mix softened butter, oats, nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, salt, raisins (if using), and 1/4 cup Dave’s Coffee Milk Syrup until it’s a sticky crumble.
-
Fill & set. Pack the mixture into the apples, mounding it on top. Set apples in the baking dish.
-
Bake. Cover loosely with foil and bake 25 minutes. Uncover, spoon pan juices over the apples, and bake 10–20 minutes more until tender but not collapsed (a skewer should slide in easily).
-
Finish. Let rest 5 minutes. Spoon over a little pan juice, top with a generous dollop of crème fraîche, and drizzle with more Coffee Milk Syrup. Dust with extra cinnamon if you like.
Tips & Variations
-
Air fryer: 325°F for 20–25 minutes; check early.
-
Make-ahead: Core, fill, and refrigerate up to 24 hours; add 5 minutes to bake time.
-
Dairy-free: Use coconut oil and top with coconut yogurt.
-
Extra fall vibes: Add a splash (1 Tbsp) of bourbon or vanilla to the pan.
Simple, seasonal, and ridiculously good—exactly the kind of dessert that makes people ask for seconds.
